Abstract
In the last two decades, Venezuelan migration has significantly transformed migration dynamics in Latin America, reversing the predominant trend of extra-regional migration and standing out for the magnitude and speed of migration flows. In this context, digital social networks have emerged as key tools, facilitating migrants' connection with their places of origin and their political participation in destination countries. In the TikTok platform, this population has found a dynamic and digitally trending space to express themselves, share their migration narratives and build virtual communities. Using a social media monitoring platform, this study explores the most frequent content present in the copys and hashtags of their videos to understand how migration-related topics circulated three months after the 2024 presidential elections in Venezuela. The study shows the strategic use given by migrants to share their migration narratives, build virtual communities, make denunciations, debate on migration policies and make their experiences visible.
