Abstract
The elaioplasts in the genus Malva , like those of Ornithogalum umbellatum are lipotubuloids, that means that they are aggregations of osmiophilic granules surrounded by a network of microtubules which in the lipotubuloids of Malva, are more labile than those of Ornithogalum .
