Abstract
The criminal process manifests a staged character, and each of the phases of the process aims at solving certain issues and ends with the adoption of appropriate solutions. The assessment of the evidence at the stage of filing the criminal case shows interest, as this lays the foundations of the activity of the judicial body for the next stage. The judicial inquiry is the central part of the trial in the first instance. During the judicial investigation, the parties may administer evidence and the judicial body has a number of obligations in relation to the assessment of evidence. In order to find out the truth in the criminal case, the judicial body will assess all the evidence in the case.
