Abstract

Dear Editor, As we all know that a crisis may generate countless opportunities, and the global coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic was one such platform that opened numerous gateways for research and publication.[1] During the beginning of the pandemic, the lockdown experienced a large number of manuscript submissions and expedited publications in a short period. The experienced researchers had more time to focus on quality research, and at the same time, many young researchers were motivated to explore more about research platforms.[2] The pandemic can be labeled as infodemic of research and publication, and it gave spark to a large number of authors maintaining scholarly and academic profiles.[3] We read the interesting article by Mondal et al.,[4] and we must congratulate the authors for bringing out this excellent article. However, we have a few important scholarly profiles to add that the article misses, and we believe that these will be beneficial for all readers [Table 1]. Maintaining an online research profile helps in disseminating research content worldwide, making collaboration, assessing the research impact, and promoting networking and publications. When authors build an online profile and engage researchers, they can influence their success rate through competitive research and the promotion of an academic environment.[5] The various added benefits of research profiles are as follows:Table 1: Various Scholarly websites where authors can create a profile for dissemination of research content It makes it easier for researchers, journal editors, scientists, and students to access your publications Help in procuring grants from various funding bodies.
