Abstract
C36H26C02N4O9, monoclinic, P\2\lc\ (no.14), a = 13.8648(7)A, b = 17.1789(9)A, c = 14.1938(7)A, P = 104.525(1)°,V= 3272.7 A 5 , Z = 4, RgtfF) = 0.076, wRnffF 2 ) = 0.151, 7=298 K. Source of materialThe title compound was synthesized with the hydrothermal method from a mixture of terephthalic acid (1 mmol, 0.17 g), C0CI2 • 4H2O (1 mmol, 0.20 g), 2,2'-bipyridine (3 mmol, 0.47 g) and water (20 mL) in a 30 mL Teflon-lined stainless steel reactor.The solution was heated to 428 K for three days.After the reaction system was slowly cooled to room temperature, then the red prismatic crystals were collected and washed with distilled water.
