Abstract
The article analyzes the role of contemporary technologies in ensuring food security in accordance to 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development of the United Nations. Innovations with great potential in food systems, including the agricultural sector and their possible impact on food systems over the next thirteen years are considered. Conclusions are made about the potential and risks of introducing technological innovations
