Abstract
Comparative NMR spectroscopy among [ΟΒ•|ΐΗ 12 ]-, [MeNB^H-i^OMe)]-and [Me 2 CHMe 2 C)B 11 H 1 3]• supports the view that the twelve-vertex oxaborane anion [OB^H^ ]" is a contiguous nido-type twelve-vertex cluster species.Parallels with twelve-vertex n/cfo-type oxametallaboranes are also discussed.
