Abstract
Tetrabutyi ammonium fluoride, in tetrahydrofuran, effects the conversion of B10H14 to the [B9H14]• ion at ambient temperatures.When this solution is heated to 75 °C the n/cfo-tBgHg]" ion is the major polyborane product.
