Abstract

ABSTRACT: Musical education as such does not take place within the school system of education until the child has developed sensory and psychomotricity abilities. However, it is of the utmost importance to acquaint the child with the world of sounds as soon as possible by adopting a linear progression applicable throughout the different stages of schooling. By cultivating ways to gradually develop musical expression the child will find atractive and useful means to achieve important sensory, motor and perceptive functions such as cordination, space and time organization, etc., while s/he starts to approach music as an art and a vehicle for human growth.
