Abstract
Diabetes presents a significant burden in Europe with the number of people living with diabetes (PwD) expected to rise from 65.6 million today to 72.4 million by 2050.1 Despite clinical advancements and clear treatment guidelines, implementation of those guidelines continues to be the major barrier to improve outcomes. We need to better use data to drive positive changes. Establishing diabetes registries is the first step. Such registries can provide essential information on the standard of care delivered.
